This is my favorite song from the movie.

its a riff based song, just understand all the individual riffs played in the song, with the right timing. thats all there is to it.

Code:

Intro Riff:

Gtr1: Keep Playing open G

Gtr2: play the notes G  F E  C

so riff is:

G  G/F  G/E   G/C

bass kicks in with the same notes, G  FF E  CC , then settles into a groove with same notes

Synth riff plays on top of the above two guitars , bass and drums

synth brass kinda  sawtooth synth tone ,(though i have used the dream theater octavarium tone on my recording)
notes are

G  D G DGD GC G C GCGCGB GBGBGBGBGB GAGAG ABAG

just get the timing right.

SINdBAD THE SAILOR Ek JAHAAZ
intro riff

MEIN JAB CHALA MERE YAAR

SunLO SUNlO,

DHOOND RAHA
intro riff
THA Ek NAYE DuNIYA kA PATA

MERE YAAR SuNLO SuNLO,

WOH ANJAANEE bAAHON MEIN THA,
D   A              G     C

WOH LEHERON kI bAAHON MEIN THA
D    A                G       C

SAB NE kAHA THA IN
Intro riff

SAMANDARON MEIN JAANA

NAHIN MERE YAAR SuNLO SuNLO

KHAABON kE PEECHHE
Intro Riff

JAAkE SCUCH BHI HAI PA ANA
NAHIN MERE YAAR SuNLO SuNLO,

WOH AFNI HZ DHUN MEIN RAHA,
D   A           G        C

WOH SUNTA THA DIL KA KAHA
D    A          G        C

USKE THE JO SAPNE, WAHI USKE THE APNE
Intro riff

AISA THA SINBAD THE SAILOR

USKE THE JO SAPNE, WAHI USKE THE APNE
Intro riff

AISA THA SINBAD THE SAILOR

Intro Riff with synth x2

then second verse follows the same

I will post the lead and rest of the song soon.

Jay, that is one sweet recording! How did you do it?

I have one issue - not everyone can find a second guitarist. I myself never have! So I decided to take a one guitar approach and play it in an open G. Took inspiration from you and shoved my tremolo in there. Rhythm's a bit off but it's OK for a 5 minute first attempt. Tell me what you think...

ps: My practice amp to my PC mic = extreme fuzz!

I recorded it in Logic and Apogee Duet. All my guitar effects are from logic. I used an old mexican fender strat (from the mid 90s when even the mexican strats were so much better than today's mexican models -squire strats).

Though I used the tremelo, I think strumming it like in the original sounds cooler. Your recording is cool.

even i am just one person man.. its a multi track recording. you can probably do that with free software like audacity etc as well.

for single guitar arrangment, keep the top 3 strings in the G position xxx033 and keep them ringing, while u change the bass notes. that will work better.

Thanks for your reply. I'll give Logic a try.

Yes I agree, I should have strummed. Might not have needed the trem. I just bough a Vox tremolo last week so I was keen to use it.

(BTW Ehsaan, Johnny Gaddar was the main reason I bought a trem!)
